Equipping Labourers for the Fields

Even though we were unable to send out teams into the mission field due to the pandemic restrictions, the focus on equipping and training in missions was an area that we were able to build on and develop.

On the back of a fruitful course, “Heart of a Church-planter” held last August, this year, we launched our very first foundational missions course, “Missions Blueprint”, as part of the Training & Equipping line-up in August, to raise up more workers for the fields!

Helmed by Pastor Kevin Graves, with three special speakers – Pastor Sabrina Low, Pastor Rhakho Suluveyi, and Canon Andrew White, all of whom are seasoned missionaries and ministry pioneers, the course examined God’s plan and purpose for the world He created, and the church’s role in hastening its fulfilment. Global and cross-cultural missions was also approached from a theological, historical, cultural, strategic, and practical standpoint, while also integrating Cornerstone’s vision and architecture for missions. The team felt that these were areas that were foundational for the equipping of labourers in preparation for the great end-time harvest. Psalm 127:1 – For unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain.

It was such an encouragement that out of the 65 participants who joined us, there were a number of Cornerstone members who indicated their desire to serve on the mission field for a longer period of time. May many respond to the Lord when He calls!
