League of Heroes - Leaders' Summit

This year’s Leaders’ Summit was a special one, celebrating our unsung heroes – our pastors and staff, Zone and Section Leaders, Cell Leaders and Ministry Heads in a fun and unique manner!

Unlike previous years, this year’s installation took a more light-hearted approach. Dressed in brightly coloured hero and villain costumes, our leaders gathered for a time of fellowship over a sumptuous meal at Fairmont Hotel on 30 April.

Meaningful conversations were exchanged as some caught up with fellow leaders, and new connections were forged. The highlight of the evening was the giving out of the 158 long-service awards to those who had served for a minimum of 10 years, in recognition of their labour of love and faithfulness!

Caring for people and shepherding the flock is never easy, and we especially wanted to applaud the seven leaders who had served for 30 years and above – they have truly exhibited such dedication and perseverance! After a time of worship, and an exhortation by our Senior Pastor, the evening concluded with a “Blessings” draw!

Here's what some of our leaders had to say:

"I love the hero’s event. As a new Cell Leader, I had the opportunity to find out more about Cornerstone and the people who have invested their time in this church. It was nice to see a different side of the pastors, staff, and other leaders who were all dressed up for the event. I thought the organisers did a good job offering “outfits” to those who did not mind dressing up at the last minute as that really added to the mood. The opening skit was funny with the wrong Robin going to meet Batman."

— Vivien Ting, Main Congregation

"The casual fellowship format was good. People were free to approach just anyone and have a meaningful chat. I liked that it was different this year and everyone was letting their hair down, just being a good sport. We (leaders) can have fun too."

— Pastor Hazeil, Filippino Congregation

"The event helped to ease and facilitate connecting with other leaders I don’t normally talk to. It was nice!"

– Sandra Tee, Generations
